While you're here, take a little time to explore what Portland has to offer.
Here are some of the Portland staff's picks for food, entertainment and views of the city.

Brian Yazzie recommends...

Exiled Records
4628 SE Hawthorne Blvd.
Portland, OR

Hawthorne District. Cozy nook specializing in a wide selection of rare albums spanning a range of musical genres.

Mt. Tabor

Hawthorne District. Need to stretch your legs and don’t have time for the Gorge drive?  There are so many options here, and I’ve always loved our ‘dormant volcano’ on Mt. Tabor. One of only two within city limits in the United States (and both in Oregon!) this cinder cone has many trails to choose from. If you need a workout, start at the bottom of the stairs at the corner of SE 69th Ave and SE East Tabor Drive and make your way to the top for panoramic views of the city and Mt Hood.

Jake “LJ” Huddleston recommends...

Bailey’s Taproom
213 SW Broadway
Portland, OR

Downtown. Cool spot in downtown with a rotating tap of local craft brews and ciders.

Next Adventure
426 SE Grand Ave.
Portland, OR

Central Eastside. A cool, outdoor store on the East Side. Like a mom and pop REI. And they have an awesome basement full of used gear and clothing for super cheap.

The Big Legrowlski
812 NW Couch St.
Portland, OR

Pearl District. A low-key bar known for their growlers.

Planet Granite
1405 NW 14th Ave.
Portland, OR

Pearl District. The premiere climbing gym in Portland. They have harnesses and shoes to rent, and you can boulder in the upstairs section if rope is not your thing. Bridgeport Brew Pub is a great spot to walk to afterwards for food and drinks.

Sally Spaderna recommends...

Mary’s Club
129 SW Broadway
Portland, OR

Downtown. Every curious to check out a strip club? Don’t be shy - Mary’s Club is a landmark tourist attraction and Portland’s first topless and oldest strip bar. It’s been featured in several films. Courtney Love danced here! Order some delicious Mexican food at Santeria’s around the corner they’ll bring it to your table.

Portland Farmer’s Market
Portland State University Campus
1717 SW Park Avenue
Portland, OR

Downtown. Saturdays 8:30am – 2pm in the South Park Blocks. More than 200 vendors, chef demonstrations, live music, and plenty of free samples!

Photo Booth at the Ace Hotel
1022 SW Stark St.
Portland, OR

Downtown. You don’t find photobooths like this anymore. It’s ancient and uses the same process as when silver film was all the rage. Your photos will be dripping wet when they FINALLY develop and come shooting out of the booth. Plus the ACE hotel is beautiful, hip, and there’s a swank speakeasy (Pepe Le Moko) in the basement.

International Rose Test Gardens
Washington Park
400 SW Kingston Ave.
Portland, OR

Southwest Portland. The Roses are nice. The views of Portland and Mt. Hood from this beautiful park are spectacular. (Just above the famous Japanese Gardens).

Los Gorditos
1212 SE Division
Portland, OR

Walking Distance from Koerner Camera. Best burritos in town. Vegan options available.
